little church in Cortina

Interestingly this church reminds me a lot of Goa, India.  Those of you who aren’t nerdy history buffs like myself may not know that Goa, a tiny state south of Mumbai, was colonized not by the British, but the Portuguese.  As a result, Goa has historically a relatively large population of Christians, and thus Christian churches adorn the landscape.  Even the relics of St Francis Xavier can be found in this tiny western state.

As for this little gem and it’s history, for myself, is yet to be discovered.  But it’s enchantment, evident at first sight.
