these are the moments

these moments, a break from the grind, time to spend with family, to have fun.  these are the moments us as parents and adults cherish.  and for me, even more so given our distance from extended family.  because as much fun as our adventures are, no matter how exciting our travels, nothing comes close to the joy of laughter with dad, or stories from grandma Marg, or cutting a Christmas tree with Grandpa Stan, running the college hallways with Grandma Pat or eating pastries with Grandpa Jerry.  i miss these things greatly at this time of year, time spent with family and friends.  no amount of good wine or chrismas markets makes up for those;)
